A Friendsgiving Tablescape in Autumn Colors

Friendsgiving is my favorite kind of gathering. After all, it feels relaxed and personal, and it’s full of the dishes your friends love to share. This year’s table features warm autumn colors, rich leather, and aged copper. Finally, one soft touch of blue finishes the look.

Start With Leather Placemats and Plaid Napkins

First, I laid down cognac leather placemats as a grounded base. Next, I layered on a plaid napkin in rust, sage, and slate blue. That napkin ties the whole palette together. A soft blue velvet ribbon wraps a mini pumpkin at each place. This small surprise tells each guest I set the table just for them.

Add Height, Glow, and Warmth

Tall taper candles in mustard and sage add height and glow. I set them in black candlesticks. Meanwhile, a vintage copper pot brings warmth and a touch of hospitality.

Mini cast iron pans work well for butter, honey, or fresh figs. Similarly, leaf butter molds make a simple dish of butter feel special.

How to Create Your Own Friendsgiving Tablescape

None of it needs to match perfectly. In fact, a tablescape is a framework. Choose a palette, add texture, and repeat a few details until it all feels intentional. That way, you can relax and enjoy your guests.
